LEVEL 1 | At Home
BEGINNING THE JOURNEY
Participants begin with an initial well-being assessment, followed by guided orientation and a structured inner practice.
-
Daily Maitri Sambodh Dhyaan (guided meditation)
-
Weekly check-ins with an assigned Bodh Mitra (well-being mentor)
-
Daily self-reflection through a standardized diary
-
Day 21 self-assessment to review progress and experiences
The purpose: To pause, turn inward, and develop awareness of one's inner state. From awareness to practice.

LEVEL 2 | Maitri Arohan Sampark
GOING DEEPER
Maitri Arohan Sampark are satellite nation-wide centers of MaitriBodh Parivaar, including spaces voluntarily offered by individuals who are experiencing transformation and wish to make the transformation journey accessible to others.
The second level deepens the transformational journey through experiential practices that encourage emotional expression, inner clarity, stillness, and awareness.
I LISTEN U
A safe, non-judgmental space to express thoughts, emotions, and concerns, supported by attentive listening without advice or judgment. Feeling heard and understood is associated with greater emotional well-being and deeper emotional expression.
EXPRESS TO DIVINE LIGHT
Participants express their thoughts, worries, questions, and emotions before the charged image of Maitreya Dadashreeji, Divine Light, with the intention of decluttering the mind and accessing inner clarity.
AUM CHANTING
A guided practice combining sound, breath, and focused attention to cultivate inner stillness and awareness. Studies have reported changes in brain activity and physiological responses associated with relaxation following AUM chanting.
Study 1
Study 2
Study 3
WATCH DIVINE LIGHT
Thirty minutes of silent, sustained attention on Divine Light to cultivate stillness, presence, and focused awareness. Research on focused-attention meditation and yogic visual concentration suggests potential benefits for attention and mindfulness.
AMRIT SHAKTIPRAVAAH
A deeper spiritual experience intended to foster receptivity to inner transformation and heightened awareness. A pilot study on Maitri ShaktiPravaah reported changes in brain connectivity and cerebral perfusion, alongside improvements in cognitive and mood measures.

The purpose: From expression to awareness, from awareness to stillness, and from stillness to a deeper experience of inner well-being.

The proposed seven-day residential journey integrates:
-
Yoga and physical well-being
-
Meditation and introspection
-
Emotional and mental well-being practices
-
Silence and stillness
-
Cultivating inner peace and holistic well-being
-
Pre- and post-program assessments
The purpose: Away from everyday distractions, participants are encouraged to deepen their inner connection, nurture holistic well-being, and recognize their relationship with themselves, society, and the larger world. From self-discovery to selfless contribution.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY
On the last day, as we practised the teaching of spreading Maitri bhaav to humanity imparted to us by Dadashreeji, I felt my body energised, vibrating with love and Maitri. I was happy, peaceful, and calm, devoid of any noise. I thanked everyone for this retreat with all my heart.
Akhil Dhall
WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY
After the retreat, when I am doing something, I am now actually there; I am present in the moment. If I am painting, I am painting. If I am working, I am working. This has improved my efficiency, productivity, the quality of my work, and, most importantly, my mental peace.
I can now rest without constantly feeling guilty or stressed about what still needs to be done. I know the work is there, but I am not overwhelmed by it. My decisions have become clearer, and while the challenges have not disappeared, the way I look at and deal with them has become much clearer.
Asmi Patel
WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY
In the retreat, we spent time with our own selves. As the days passed, I became increasingly present in the moment. I noticed that my thoughts were beginning to dissolve on their own. I did not have to suppress or control them. There was simply less need to engage with them. There were moments when there was just presence without the constant movement of thoughts, plans, expectations, or analysis. The more I experienced this, the more I understood the depth of simply being present.
Shruti Khirsagar
WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY
As the days passed, I slowly learned to observe those thoughts without immediately reacting to them or becoming attached to them. And then something even more interesting happened. Thoughts, desires, emotions, and things that we often suppress or avoid began coming to the surface. Usually, we find ways to distract ourselves or run away from them. But in the retreat, there was nowhere to run. You had to face them. Watch them. And let them pass

Early Outcomes | August 2026
The analysis included participants who completed matched pre- and post-retreat assessments following the 7-day LOCA Light Residential Retreat.
Participants were assessed before and after the retreat using two established measures:
-
Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS) to assess positive mental wellbeing.
-
10-item Short Stress Overload Scale (SOS-S) to assess perceived stress overload, including personal vulnerability and event load.
The analysis used paired statistical testing, supported by a non-parametric robustness check and paired effect sizes.
